PERMUTATION is an audiovisual live performance framework written by Ricardo Rodrigues Erl and me, that connects the auditory and visual domain on the data level. This computational bridge is largely based on the notion of data interchangeability, which is afforded by digital media. PERMUTATION explores the possibilities and limitations of this notion by positioning itself between strictly formal computation and perceptible, aesthetic association.
